BikeACE will help you make the most of your next bike ride by allowing you to compete against cyclists all over the world!
BikeACE Overview
BikeACE is a cycling game which is like a REAL ‘top trumps’ game for your bike! You must pedal to improve your cards – at the end of game the rider with the best hand of cards wins!
The challenge of the game is to beat the rest to become the best or as we call it a ‘BikeACE!’
What is a BikeACE?
A BikeACE is a rider who can get the best ranking in all 3 challenge suits and hold them until the end of the game to become the winner!
What are the ‘3 Challenge Suits?’
Just like in a normal card game there are different suits such as Hearts, Clubs, Diamonds and Spades. In BikeACE there are 3 challenge suits and we have called them:-
- Ride Duration
- Ride Distance
- Average Ride Speed
How does the game work?
- BikeACE enables you to record the REAL Ride Duration, Ride Distance and Average Ride Speed from your bike ride.
- When you stop recording BikeACE computes your ride stats and deals you a hand of cards based on your performance in comparison to the other challengers in your game.
- For example – An ACE represents the highest ranking player in any given suit and a JOKER represents the lowest ranking player in any given suit.
- Challengers have unlimited attempts to improve their ‘hand’ before the end of the game.
To win the game you must hold the best overall hand of cards when the game finishes.
How do I play?
- Easy, You can either create and name your own game or, browse and join existing games to get straight into the action!
- Select an Invitational Game (only accessible by people you invite), a National Game (open to people in your country), or International Game (open to anybody in the world)
- Set the end time and date of the game. This is very important – riders have as many opportunities to ‘trump’ their fellow game challengers before the end of the game. BikeACE will update rankings immediately after each challenge attempt.
Can I see the performance of other players in my game?
- Yes! Your hand represents your current overall ranking in a game. So long as your phone has a signal to refresh your ranking will be in real time!
- If you tap the front of each card you can see the individual stats of each player in your game!
- If you are not happy with your ranking then get on your bike and pedal some more to see if you can generate a better hand!
How long is a game?
- Game length is a key feature of the game!
- The game creator gets to choose the end time and date of the game and thus the duration of the overall challenge. The longer the overall game the more chances challengers will have to steal the lead!
How many people can play in a game?
- It is up to you! You need a minimum of one other person but there is no upper limit on the number of players in a single game.
- The more players in the game the harder it is to hold on to your cards!
- You can keep it amongst your friends or open it up to your country or the whole world!
Don’t panic if this all sounds a bit complicated! Once you get the application it will all make perfect sense!
